When I photograph a woman, I’m curious about every When I photograph a woman, I’m curious about everything she carries into the room. Her presence. Her softness. Her strength. The way she listens. The way she holds space. The spark that appears when she speaks about something she deeply believes in. With therapists, coaches and women in the wellness world, I’m especially drawn to this invisible part of their work, the qualities people can feel long before they can put them into words. During a session, I look for those little glimpses. A quiet portrait on her own. A moment of connection in a one-to-one session. A gesture, a laugh, a thoughtful pause. The many expressions that belong to the same woman. I want her photographs to carry something of her aura. To give a sense of her values, her energy, her personality and of how it might feel to be in her presence. A collection of images that feels like meeting her.
