There are times of the month when your body seems There are times of the month when your body seems more vulnerable.

Less stable.
Less radiant.
More sensitive.

Like during the premenstrual phase.
Your hormonal system is highly sensitive to your environment.

It reacts to security.
To rhythm.
To gentle movement.
To your presence.

Serotonin stabilises when your body gets enough sleep.
When the morning light touches your eyes.
When your diet supports your blood sugar levels.

Oxytocin increases when you feel connected.
When your belly is relaxed.
When your nervous system feels confident.

Sometimes, what your body needs most
is not more discipline.

It's space.

To return to the body, again and again, month after month.

To honour and understand the intelligence that harmonises it.

Taking time to nourish my body. Really.

It constantly reminds me how much everything is a matter of perception. The perception of time that we think we don't have in our daily lives. Or rather, the way we prioritise our time and what fills it.

What happens when we feel tired or overstimulated, if instead of giving ourselves a shot of dopamine by scrolling through social media, we give ourselves two minutes with our eyes closed, breathing deeply, or even a two-minute self-massage?

On the surface, maybe not much.

But inside you, it provides real support for your hormonal/nervous/digestive ecosystem and its regulatory needs.

It's not about revolutionising your habits, but gradually becoming more aware of your automatic choices and questioning them.

Is what I'm about to do helping or hindering me?

In the next posts, I feel like sharing a bit more about those "pleasure" hormones and how they are influenced by your menstrual cycle.

Especially during our premenstrual phase when oestrogens drop.
Un poquito de la Ciudad de Mexico 📸🌵 It's been a Un poquito de la Ciudad de Mexico 📸🌵

It's been a long time since I've photographed landscapes / cities - playing with my camera and perspectives just for the love & passion of it.

No goal.
Just an eye awareness for details, lines, people, and atmosphere.
🌵Let's be honest - traveling and respecting the ne 🌵Let's be honest - traveling and respecting the needs of your female body isn't always easy. Between long journeys, meeting new people, changing accommodations every four days, new climates, new lifestyles, and so on...

My habits are being shaked but my philosophy and foundations remain. So here are my non-negotiables for my female hormones when I travel:

- Daily exercise, even if only for 5 minutes (morning physical practices, meditation, walking, Yin)

- time to integrate all these new stimuli (smells, noises, energies through naps, writing, contemplation)

- not overloading my to-do list, especially during the premenstrual/menstrual phase

- choosing accommodation with access to a park nearby at the very least

What I am more easy about:

- Food (especially here in Mexico, where there is so much delicious street food that you can eat for €3) but still pay attention to steady blood sugar through the days

- Creating a safe haven for myself during my menstrual phase and limiting travel/interactions.

- Slowing down and resting when my body tells me to.

Traveling while remaining aware of my cycle teaches me humility and imperfection. It's not about following the rules to the letter, doing everything right, or respecting everything, but rather having the ability to adapt to the rhythms of my days. Between pleasure, discovery, curiosity, and listening to myself.

I practice to be inhabited by my cyclicity instead of controlling her presence.

I practice imperfection without devaluing myself. And it will surely take me a lifetime of travels to accept that 🤣

What about you - do you have any non-negotiables identified for your feminine well-being/overall inner balance ?
